Hey MaruFans! Today I bring to you a very special update. A while back I was commissioned to do a custom figure in the likeness of one of my favorite youtubers, TheStashBin
His better half wanted a figure of him created for their anniversary, but it had to be done quick. Stash has been one of the most important people in getting my Toychanic business off to a great start. I actually took it upon myself to fix a huge lot of figures that he had posted a youtube video about. My huge thanks goes out to him and his lady for allowing me to make this very special figure… now on to the reason you’re really here! I created Stash using a Rob Van Dam (Elite) head. Obviously it was heavily modified. I shaved the head down and sculpted a buzzed hair cut and facial hair. I used a small jump ring for his nose ring (which is a little tricky to pull off!) The base body is a Sota Remy. I didn’t want him to have oversized feet or flared 70’s bell bottoms, so I used a Marvel Legends’ Blade’s lower shin/feet. I then sculpted a bit to make the legs mesh well. They are actually removable, but I’m still unsure why I did that. I think when it comes to such a heavily modded piece, I like doing removable sections so they are less likely to break. The arms arm Sota Remy’s and a Deluxe BTVS Angel for the sleeveless versions (as well as the coat jacket). The chest has sculpt to simulate a V-neck type shirt to match Stash’s style. His hands are also removable, but I wanted to give him the fingerless gloves because let’s face it… Stash is a badass. you can see the beanie I added doesn’t sit as low as I wanted, but I wanted to throw it in for extra pieces. The glasses… didn’t work and let me tell you that I searched. If anyone has a great solution to making 6″ scale glasses, please let me know. I love the photo of him holding the figure. It really makes my heart proud. All of the paint used is citadel brand.
